Asparouhovo is a small picturesque village situated at the foot of the Stara Planina Mountain, in the gorge of Luda Kamchia River, on the side of Tsonevo Dam.
Later the village is moved, but part of the houses became ethnographical – architectural complex and that is one of the reasons that the village Asparuhovo is preserved our folklore heritage.
At the bottom, under the water remained the old houses and customs, but the memory of past times is still alive there is a small ethnographical museum, at the shore of the lake, not far away from the church “St. Paraskeva”.

The research work carried out till present points to the fact that life around Varna and the lakes strongly activated only in the period of the Stone – Copper age.

The ship owners were presented with an ultimatum by Mikhail Koubishin, the captain of 'Nikolay Filchenko', through the chief of the sailors' trade union in Bourgas Darina Todorova.
Bourgas will be spared a water regime by a new connection between the 'Tsonevo' dam and the derivation at Kitka village, said Georgi Georgiev, head of 'V&K' (Water Sewerage Company) Department in the Black sea town.
The 30 km connection will allow for the water supply of 73 settlements and 1 million people from Varna and Bourgas districts.
