The objective of this study is to elucidate nitrogen dynamics in grassland of Tsukui, Kanagawa Prefecture with paying attention to the nitrogen input through atmospheric deposition.
Increasing nitrate concentrations, which are caused by artificial activities such as atmospheric emissions (Galloway et al., 1995), bedrock (Holloway, 1998) and agricultural runoff (Spalding and Exner, 1993), in stream water have been reported in the world.
In this study, we tried to estimate the nitrate concentrations in stream water in secondary oak forest in Nagatakeshidaguchi, Tsukui, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

YOKOHAMA One hundred watermelons with a retail value of around 300,000 yen have been stolen from a field in the town of Tsukui, Kanagawa Prefecture, police said Sunday.
The 73-year-old owner of the field found his watermelons stolen Saturday morning when he visited the field to take them, the police said.
