Tsuyoshi, known to the world as an avatar of the trance dance genre, says that, after years of living in London, jetting off to perform at parties from Israel to Australia, he wanted to settle down and return to Tokyo.
Tsuyoshi travels abroad (he's currently appearing at New York's club Twilo with Ken Ishii in the monthly party Far East Technology) and he can play a broader variety of styles, from trance and progressive till jazzy stuff, breakbeats, even rock.
As Tsuyoshi settles back into Tokyo, he's busy working with his band (a new single is due out in May) and setting up a recording studio in Harajuku, as well as two new independent record labels: Feedback Recordings, devoted to dance material, and the more alternative Mad Skippers.

Tsuyoshi Suzuki is one of the most famous DJs in the Japanese trance music scene and the co-founder of the label Matsuri Productions.
In 1993, he moved to London, where he became a prominent DJ at Return to the Source.
Tsuyoshi Suzuki has been part of many Goa trance projects, including Bass Chakra, Joujouka, Kailash, Prana, and Taiyo.

Now I know electronic music seems to be looked down upon on this board, but I can assure you that I'm still into metal- I was listening to COB in the car on the way- but recently I have been getting into trance, breaks etc. so it was good to finally go see someone live.
My mates friend knows Tsuyoshi, so we were on the doorlist which was awesome.
Tsuyoshi came out at about 1am and played til 3, and it was a lot harder than I htought it would be, which ruled.

So anyway, it’s a good thing we got tickets too because when we arrived, there was a queue at the door that would have put off a Singaporean (and we all know how much Singaporeans love queues - the longer it is, the more you should join it).
I don’t think he did though cos just as we were flashing our tickets at the door, we overheard them people saying they were going to cut the queue because they were sold out.
Tsuyoshi played some pretty bitchin’ psy trance that night and it’s been a long while since I ‘d been to a good psy trance party.
