Similar in concept to the forests we're used to in the Northwest, in that there are long stretches of trees and the road just goes through them.
Since we didn't know what awaited down the road and hadn't seen a caravan park for some time, and it was getting dark, we decided to do it.

With the threat of further tuart decline, since, (and as suggested in) 1904, it is important that we protect what remains from further clearing and environmental stresses.
It is the only forest of its type in the world – a rare and irreplaceable ecosystem of which less than 2000 hectares remain and is home to vulnerable and endangered species including the Brushtailed Phascogale, Western Ringtail possum, Short-billed Black Cockatoo and the Chuditch.
