		Tug of war or tug o' war, also known as rope pulling, is a sport that directly pits two teams against each other in a test of strength.
		The rope used for a tug of war in Uiryeong Keunjulttaenggigi (January 15th in Chinese calendar) is 251 meter long, 4.5 meter in circumference and weights 54.5 metric ton.
		The rope used for a tug of war in Naha Oōtsunahiki (September 10th) is 200 meter long and weighs more than 40 metric ton.

		Tug of War UK Tug of war is a unique team sport, where the team work requires all team members to do the same thing.
		Tug of War Takes place outdoors, on grass, and indoors on mats, and there are male, female and youth (under 18) competitions at various weight categories, which take place all year round, indoor (October-March) in the winter, and outdoor in the summer (April-September).

		The first Great River Tug took place in 1987 with ten 20-member tug teams pulling with all of their strength on the 2,400 foot, 680 pound rope that spans the Mississippi River between Port Byron, Illinois and LeClaire, Iowa.
		LeClaire won the Tug Fest in 1998 and received the "Iowa Event of the Year" Award for being one of the most outstanding festivals in the State of Iowa.
