Tumba Bruk, in Tumba, outside Stockholm, consists of three divisions: a paper mill producing currency paper; a currency printing plant; and Myntverket, the national mint that produces coins.
Tumba Bruk's total sales in 2000 were SEK 456 million (about USD 45 million).
Tumba Bruk was founded in 1755 to enable the Swedish state to take control of currency production and halt counterfeiting.

How, one may ask, does a country like Sweden celebrate the 250th anniversary of their Tumba Bruk banknote paper mill — well, they issue a commemorative 100 Kroner banknote and a commemorative stamp to boot.
The colour of the note’s body is ivory and the inking is predominantly green with some olive, yellow and light purple as secondary shading.
Turning to the reverse of the note, the top shows an image of an old blueprint of Tumba Bruk and an 18th century scene of the manufacturing process in the mill.

The contract was instead won by a Swedish Company AB Tumba Bruk which will print N$1 billion worth of the new currency in N$10 and N$50 and N$100 notes.
The Namibian dollar will trade at par with the South African rand when it comes into circulation next year.
