Honey is a sweet and viscous fluid produced by bees and other insects from the nectar of flowers.
Similar to honey, and usually bottled and sold like honey is honeydew, which is made by the bees from the sweet secretions of aphids, scale, or other plant sap sucking insects.
Honey was found in one of the Egyptian pyramids, estimated at several thousand years old, and it was still good.

In northern Florida, beekeepers keep beehives along the river swamps on platforms or floats during tupelo bloom to produce certified tupelo honey, which commands a high price on the market because of its flavor and the fact that it will not crystallize.
Tupelos are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Endoclyta damor.

I thought the lemon would be a n ice note w/ the tupelo, and the cranberries' tartness a nice contrast.
I still have a quart of that same honey, and I'll probably be feeding this one as it goes along, if the premier couvee is as attenuative as everyone says.
