Turners Cross is a football ground located in and synonymous with the district of Turners Cross, Cork,Ireland.
Turner's Cross has never hosted a full men's senior international; the closest in recent time was a "B" fixture against England in 1990.
Turners Cross was home ground for the local GAA club Nemo Rangers in the 1930's.

Even today, seventy years after it was planned, the Church of Christ the King, Turners Cross, Cork by F Barry Byrne, a Chicago architect is pretty amazing.
His other churches prior to Turners Cross are the Church of St Thomas the Apostle, Chicago (1922) described as "too advanced for the Catholic Church" by the Archbishop of Chicago but actually relatively conventional in design.
According to reports the then Bishop of Cork, Dr Cohalan, who was faced with cost problems in building a new church for the expanding suburban district of Turners Cross, read an article by an American architect which suggested Barry Byrne as a possible source of a low-cost church.

A paper from the Society of Ornamental Turner's Bulletin includes many good restoration techniques if you are lucky enough to find a lathe outfit.
Another article written in the late 1970's in the Society of Ornamental Turner's Bulletin did a good job of listing the pieces of equipment necessary for beginner's and more advanced user's OT lathe outfits, and I reproduce that article here.
I won't try to educate you in the use of any of these accessories, because the best way to learn is to study under the watchful eye of an experienced OT practitioner.
