Statute of the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina
All residents of the District and all natural and legal persons who have their place of business or earn income derived from activity in the District, are obligated to participate in the financing of the functions and powers of the District through taxes, fees and contributions in accordance with the law.
District residents who are members of the Entities active duty military component at the time this Statute enters into force may continue to serve provided that their uniforms, weapons and other military equipment remain at the location of their military unit and they register with the District authorities.

OHR, Office of the High Representative (http://www.ohr.int), provided a clarification on the status of the Brcko District, stating that the District is in fact a condominium of both entities.
Citizens of the District have a right to hold entity citizenship of either Republika Srpska or the Federation, and have the right to vote on their entity's elections, although they are banned from serving in either entity's army.

In the penal institution of Tuzla, there is a female department of the capacity of 40 places while in the penal institutions in Tuzla and Mostar there are smaller units for women.
In the District Prison in Bijeljina, the sleeping rooms are overloaded with beds, thus in one room of 12-13 square meters there are 5 double beds and in the rooms only larger for one or two square meters there are 8 double beds.
The penal institution in Tuzla has at its disposal an open type restaurant with 12 to 15 convicts engaged in it daily, as well as an economic unit located in Kozlovac (in the vicinity of Tuzla) where 40 to 45 convicts are engaged.

The Bukovik and Meterize city districts as well as the Muslim-held defense positions on the Debelo Brdo hill were attacked by mortar fire from artillery positions in Karakaj, from the Bosnian river bank before Meterize, and from Mali Zvornik (Serbia).
The unit was stationed in the village of Celopek north of Zvornik, with a number of tanks located in the industrial district of Karakaj and proceeding towards the Zvornik city limits (to the precinct of Meterize) when the attack began.

About 955 Ceslav was obliged to defend the dependent banat, or district, of Bosnia (originally merely the valley of the upper Bosna) from an incursion of the Magyars.
The districts of Herzegovina near Ragusa aimed at individual independence, while the rest of the territory now included in Bosnia and Herzegovina gradually came into a more complete dependence on Hungary.
In order to hasten the end of the revolt three other Austrian army corps entered the contested district; by the end of September, 1878, both territories were subdued with the exception of a few points in the north-western part.

To study the occurrence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depressive symptoms in children and adolescents exposed to the siege conditions in Sarajevo in relationship to their gender, age, loss of family members, the perceived need of the essentials of daily living such as food, shelter, water and clothes and exposure to shooting.
In April of 1994 the author went to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and collected data on 791 children (ages 6-15) in a district’s school.
