		Twelve Monkeys portrays a world where science and technology are instruments of oppression.
		The Army of the Twelve Monkeys winds up being (possibly through the manipulation of the past) an animal rights group, which is opposed to the use of animals in experiments and zoos.
		Twelve Monkeys takes the stance that events are inevitable, and changing how an event happens can not ultimately prevent that event from taking place.

		The plot of Twelve Monkeys is very confusing and, to be honest, more than a little absurd.
		Twelve Monkeys certainly takes some staying with, especially if you're not a fan of the genre, and even if you're a fan of the lead actors because they're playing so much against type.
		However, with a disturbing but satisfying (if a little predictable) ending Twelve Monkeys is a chilling, frightening commentary on the possibilities of the future and is well worth a look.

		This is somehow sad: 12 Monkeys' story line can be termed "intelligent", not "complicated." It's a sad day for humanity when the sight of Sylvester Stallone blowing away countless bad guys with a machine gun is the only story line that modern cinema audiences seem to be able to follow.
