Twenty Questions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Twenty Questions is a popular spoken parlour game for two or more players.
Sample questions could be "Is it in this room?" or "Is it bigger than a breadbox?" Lying is not allowed, as it would ruin the game.
If twenty questions are asked without a correct guess, then the answerer has stumped the questioners and gets to be the answerer for another round.

Twenty questions is a two-person or multi-person guessing game.
The guesser or guessers must determine what this object is, by sequentially asking 20 yes-or-no questions about the object, which are answered either "yes" or "no".
The optimal strategy translates into the tactic of asking very broad questions initially, such as "Are they male or female?", and asking very narrow questions towards the end, such as "Is she a character in Star Trek?"

The principles of twenty questions can be used in any trouble shooting or problem solving situation where the problem is associated with a single element of a complex system.

 20 Questtions Game
Twenty Questions is a game you can play at a party or to kill time on a road trip.
The question "Animal, vegetable or mineral?," as seasoned 20 Questions players know, asks about the primary substance of which the target is made, and every legitimate target, i.e., every possible object or substance in the universe, will be made entirely of animal, vegetable or mineral or any of the four combinations thereof.
Notice that when A responds by including the question in the answer, he not only fully satisfies the three Qs who asked the three questions, he also provides the questions and their answers to anyone else who's playing, which is how it would be in a real-life game.

The idea in Twenty Questions is that one person thinks of some object, and the other tries to guess what it is by asking only yes-no questions.
If it is wrong, the user is prompted for the thing she was thinking of and a yes-no question to distinguish that thing from the computer's guess, and that information is added to the tree.
If the guess is incorrect, the user should be prompted for the thing they were thinking of and a question which can be used to distinguish between the user's thing and the computer's guess.

The important question about proof may not be whether it is crucial to understanding the nature of mathematics as a deductive, logical science, but whether it helps students and teachers communicate mathematically.
The teachers primary role is not to instruct but to pose problems and ask questions that provoke students to reflect on their work and justify their reasoning.
This is now a researchable question, and the implications of such research are profound.

Democratic members of the panel said the administration's moves raised new questions about its willingness to cooperate with the commission, which is investigating intelligence and law enforcement blunders in the months and years before the 2001 attacks.
Her spokesman, Sean McCormack, said the decision against public testimony was made at the recommendation of administration lawyers who warned of separation-of-powers issues.
