For accuracy in tabletop photography, in which the subject might be within a foot (30 cm) of the camera, devices are available that move the camera upwards so that the taking lens goes to the exact position that the viewing lens occupied.

My camera also has a fresnel lens with a split field, spot focusing area.I don't know if this is now standard, but it is a BIG improvement over the plain ground glass viewfinder screen.

This is the nice 120 roll film 2 1/4 square format Yashica D twin lens reflex (SN D 0030166).
You would be much better off with a Yashinon 4-element lens which is similar to a Zeiss Tessar in performance (soft edges wide open improving to quite sharp, corner to corner, by f/11).
Anyway, the D is a usable camera, but if you were thinking about an upgrade from the A, I would hold out for the Yashinon lenses.

I had one for a couple years and was impressed by the camera (considering its cost).
Focus Camera has the Seagull camera for $138.99 plus about $15 for shipping.
The earlier Seagull cameras were not up to snuff in lens quality or mechnical function.
