  [KFCC] Twinkle Lucky Stars Review
Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars is the third in a series which began with Winners and Sinners, and teams a clan of comedic actors known as the Lucky Stars with the martial arts and action expertise of Chan, Hung and Biao.
The Lucky Stars spend their whole lives chasing the fairer sex, but instead of employing witty banter, candle lit dinners and copious amounts of wine to get what every man wants, they go for elaborate (and rarely funny) schemes.
Aside from the Lucky Stars, Jackie, Sammo and Biao pop up, as do Japanese actor Yasuaki Kurata, Sibelle Hu, John Shum, Andy Lau, Michelle Yeoh, and we are treated to a healthy dose of Richard Norton, who even gets to dub his own voice for once.

My Lucky Stars and Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars would be released two years later, using almost the exact same cast of key players, nigh on identical plot components and more importantly the same group of quirky comedic characters pioneered in this early outing from director and star Sammo Hung.
In a well crafted opening act the Lucky Stars are introduced to us through their chosen occupations, as they each go about their lives of petit crime and ultimately wind up in the same prison cell.
In this early role she is given the not inconsiderable duty of playing the Lucky Stars (save for Curly) object of desire, the girl they get to swoon around and compete for her desires with much under-handed techniques being employed along the way.

 [KFCC] My Lucky Stars Review
However, in the case of ‘My Lucky Stars’, there is some false advertising in effect, because for the most part this movie belongs to the ‘Lucky Stars’, a gang of comedians who fail to amuse.
Sammo himself is usually on screen, but seems to hide at the back worrying about how to rescue his movie from the hands the Lucky Stars and their farcical cack.
My Lucky stars certainly isn’t as good as it’s sequel, ‘Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars’, which was average at best, and is nothing more than a plotless ‘comedy’ book-ended by some half decent Kung Fu action.

 Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars
The first is really nice, the second is great and ‘My Lucky Stars’, the third, is the worst of the bunch.
Now, while I’m aware the other actors are in 3 of the other Lucky Stars movies, they aren’t in ‘Dragon Forever’, and the stars of that movie are clearly the more famous trio of the bunch.
It’s not the best of the Lucky Stars movies but it’s not the worst of the Lucky Stars movies (I don’t think I’ve said those three words enough, so that’s why I repeated them).

An aspect with the previous Lucky Stars disc was its general lack of bass, and thankfully, Universe have rectified this problem.
