Martyr, born in London, 1551; died at Tyburn, London, 7 February, 1578.
After leaving school in 1566, Thomas assisted his father, a London woollen draper, for about ten years; then, feeling that his vocation was to the priesthood, he made arrangements to go to Douay College and was in London settling his affairs, and obtaining the means for his support and education.

John would accompany his father in law Conn O'Neill to London and be created an English Knight.
Some accounts paint him as notorious for bungling plot by the remaining Gaelic nobles to regain Ireland but in truth he was betrayed and ambushed before he could take ~Dublin Castle .
He was held at the Tower of London and after an escape was recaptured and later hanged at ~Tyburn ,(2) in 1644.
