GIC - Tympani resonators in galaxies and star fields   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
Tympani resonators are actually thermo vents, where one stream of flowing gas/dust/matter/stars/clusters is travelling faster then, and on a different vector, than matter surrounding through which the higher thermo stream is passing.
The tympani have three basic formations, two of which can be seen in the smokes of strong fires or even a nuclear bomb blast on Earth.
There is one example of a tympani which has all three forms visible, seen on its side floating eerily along in a Triangulum starfield, the all purpose tympani model is described as this

GIC - Powerful tympani resonators are spotted in many places   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
This tympany (which has good details in the Noao view enhancements next), is featured in the Galex.htm page.
The straight line through the tympani is in the cosmic object (crosses the Whirlpool), and is not an image seam.
Giant 6-sided tympani form dominates the right side close to the core, the tympani is distinct enough, despite the extreme haze, three short dark lines are its upper part.

The Absolute Sound: 30th Anniversary Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
Those who have read the reviews of the Tympani 1-D (see Issue 11; also Editor’s Choice, Issue 12) and the Infinity QRS (Issue 12) may recall that this reviewer was less than delirious over the Tympani’s inability to resolve mid and high frequencies without serious veiling, especially at low levels.
The Tympani’s response, from 125 Hz down to 32 Hz, is as smooth as the response of the QRS panels.
And it may be that some further fine tuning of the crossover between the QRS’s midrange and high frequency drivers could relieve the occasional sense of strain and congestion in that region.

Autonomic nervous system -- Facts, Info, and Encyclopedia article   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
According to some authors the fibers to the salivary glands arise from a special nucleus, the superior salivatory nucleus, consisting of cells scattered in the reticular formation, dorso-medial to the facial nucleus.
These preganglionic fibers are distributed partly through the chorda tympani and lingual nerves to the submaxillary ganglion where they terminate about the cell bodies of neurons whose axons as postganglionic fibers conduct secretory and vasodilotar impulses to the submaxillary and sublingual glands.

IngentaConnect Tegmen tympani cerebrospinal fluid leak repair   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
The three patients underwent canal wall-up mastoidectomy, posterior tympanotomy, removal of the malleus head and incus and, consequently, exposure of the tegmen tympani and the cerebrospinal fluid leak.
Closure was performed using temporal muscle fascia, abdominal fat and bovine collagen, fixed in place with fibrin glue.
Keywords: cerebrospinal fluid leak; tegmen tympani; transmastoid approach
