Each gun was provided with four chambers, which were loaded with their 25 cartridges apiece by a charger, and fixed to the breech one after the other as quickly as the manipulation of the powerful retaining screw permitted.
And thus; although the Gatling and similar types of gun were employed to a slight extent by both sides in the later stage of the war, machine-guns, as a class of armament for civilized warfare, practically disappeared.
The weight of the gun is 38 lb, and that of the fighting carriage 75 (some accounts give 53 for the latter), the difference between these weights and those of the mounted equipments, affording a good illustration of the difference in the tactical requirements of the cavalry and of the infantry types of gun.

Type 100 submachine gun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Japan was surprisingly late to introduce the submachine gun to its armed forces; the MP40 had been ubiquitous in the Wehrmacht since 1939.
The Type 100 was a well made gun, albeit with several strange features, including a complicated ammunition feed device that, for safety purposes, ensured that a round was completely chambered before firing, a complex system compounded by the curious bottle shaped round the Type 100 used.
Atypically for a submachine gun, a bayonet lug was fixed under the barrel.

The Browning gun survived in the gun turrets of British bombers, but was increasingly ineffective: At the end of the war only incendiary ammunition was used, because the AP round was not able to penetrate the armour of modern fighters.
The Type 99 model 2 was more similar to the L. And the Japanese Hispano-Suiza S.9 and S.7 were also versions of an Oerlikon gun, probably the S. The Luftwaffe at first experimented with the MG c/30L, a weapon derived from a Flak gun.

[footnote 3] The quantity of machine guns that federal courts encounter in drug cases is high enough to conclude that Congress would have had a rational basis for a legislative judgment that prohibiting their intrastate possession would have a substantial effect on the interstate commerce in illegal drugs.
As observed, machine guns are very different weapons from guns without the capability of automatic fire and have been the subject of federal commerce regulation for nearly sixty years.
Given the rapid influx of machine guns, it is hardly irrational to conclude that meaningful regulation of their use in lines of interstate commerce requires regulation of this intrastate possession.
