But our syntax language must itself be purely nominalistic; it must make no use of terms or devices that involve commitment to abstract entities.
The two remaining primitives of our syntax language are abbreviations of the familiar predicates "is part of" and "is bigger than".
The idea of dealing with the language of classical mathematics in terms of a nuclear syntax language that would meet nominalistic demands was suggested in 1940 by Tarski.

Interpreting typographical italics in Corbett's text in terms of the various TEI highlight tags ( , , , etc.) Where italics are used for extensive quotation (as with the ordinance cited in sections 694-714), the use of italics is indicated through the attribute.
In accordance with Corbett's typographical conventions, three renderings of quotations are noted: italics, em-dash, and continue (where a quotation spans over a section boundary, and the tag needs to be resumed in the new section).

Such syntax diagrams are rarely suitable for straight incorporation into a set of language template definitions.
There is usually a fair amount of manually going through the syntax looking for simplifications etc. If you are going for the complete approach then you are advised to start from a set of EBNF syntax diagrams for the language.
EBNF syntax diagrams are useful because they can be used to determine when a particular construct should be optional, mandatory, whether it should auto-repeat and whether there are any "punctuation" strings required.
