EV World: Tzero Electric Sports Car Stings Ferrari and Corvette In Impromptu Drags
The tzero was driven to the Bay Area from southern California last week.
The trip to Silicon Valley was planned to demonstrate the tzero to entrepreneurs and investors interested in the concept of a high-performance, environmentally-sensible, silicon-intensive automobile.
But against the tzero, the result was the same, proving in equally convincing fashion that American brawn fares no better than European sophistication against the tzero' s combination of light weight, high-current lead-acid batteries, and electric propulsion.

EV World: AC Propulsion Readies TZERO EV For Production
By Bill Moore Its ancestor is the GM Sunraycer, its distant cousin the EV1, but from that point on the TZero is in a class by itself, as EV World quickly learned when we interviewed Alec Brooks, the AC Propulion VP in charge of turning the hot little EV into a production sports car.
Brooks explained that the term "tzero" is a mathematical expression having to do with acceleration, T subzero being the starting point.
Brooks estimates the TZero can be operated at one cents/per mile (or less if charged at off-peak rates) while the equivalent costs in the Ferrari are easily ten times that amount.
