Arwind Santos (born July 19, 1981 in Angeles, Pampanga is a Filipino basketball player, playing for Far Eastern University in the UAAP and the Magnolia Ice Cream Spinners in the Philippine Basketball League.
Santos arrived at the UAAP scene in 2002 with the FEU Tamaraws.
In 2003, Santos led the Tamaraws to the UAAP title for the first time in six seasons, sweeping the Blue Eagles in the process.

Acting on the recommendations of a fact-finding committee, the UAAP Board on Friday voted unanimously to suspend De La Salle University from all sports for one year, citing the Green Archers’ negligence in allowing two of its men’s basketball players to enter college with faked academic records.
The board held that De La Salle violated existing UAAP rules and regulations when it submitted the PEPTCR documents of Benitez and Gatchalian for school year 2003-04—that were subsequently found and declared spurious by competent authorities.
According to a UAAP insider, as the investigating committee saw a lapse on the part of the school on how Archers Benitez and Gatchalian secured their faked academic documents.

Luistro said leaving the UAAP is one of the many options the school may consider, but it still depends on the response of the league board to La Salle’s letter asking for clarification on certain issues related to its suspension.
UAAP existed in the past without the presence of La Salle which was in NCAA then.
Even the UAAP board and Abs-Cbn admits that the suspension of La Salle is a big loss in terms of millions of pesos in marketing and advertising not to mention the attendance revenues when La Salle plays Ateneo.

Maximino D. Rendon, UAAP Season 68 president, reiterated this in response to various opinions and statements being voiced out in the media as to the merit of the issues hounding the league, particularly De La Salle.

The UAAP board made some clarifications on La Salle’s status in an emergency board meeting last Feb. 9 after the school made known its intention to take a leave of absence in men’s basketball.
UAAP secretary treasurer Dr. Ricardo Matibag of Season 68 host Adamson University explained that according to league rules, any member school has the right to take a leave of absence from the league.

Awhile ago, i was watching the opening of the UAAP at Studio 23.
They joined UAAP coz' they have said that they don't belong their anymore coz' they are UNIVERSITIES already.
Games for UAAP is held in Araneta while NCAA is held most of the time in Rizal Coliseum.

Also, the UAAP fact-finding committee formed to dig into the crisis will meet for three consecutive days during the Holy Week to summarize and complete its recommendations to the UAAP board in time for the April 21 board meeting.
This year's UAAP Season 68 secretary-treasurer, Dr. Ricardo Matibag, of Adamson University said the committee is winding up on its task after it has interviewed witnesses and gathered voluminous documents since its creation in November.
