	The UT Urban Affairs Center: UAC News Archive
		UAC Research Associates Sue Wuest, Dr, Neil Reid of UT, and Dr. Michael Carroll of BGSU were featured in an article in the March 15, 2004 issue of UTNews that discussed the Northwest Ohio Economic Research Collaborative.
		UAC Research Associate Sue Wuest was quoted in UT News during her participation in the September 10, 2003 meeting on the Toledo Science and Research Corridor.
		UAC is partnering with U.S. Representative Marcy Kaptur, Toledo City Council, and other local groups to fund a study of urban sprawl and identify its effects in the Toledo area to be conducted by The Metropolitan Area Research Corporation, a non-profit group directed by Myron Orfield (Toledo Blade article, June 27, 2002).

		The UAC forces users that are part of the local administrators group to run like they were regular users with no administrative privileges.
		Although UAC clearly improves the security on Windows Vista, under some scenarios you might want to disable it, for example when giving demos in front of an audience (demos that are not security related, for example).

		Another real danger of UAC is the false sense of security it provides to the users who don’t really understand how to protect their computer from malware.
