UCI freshman Lyndsay DePaul won her second event of the meet with a win in the 400 IM with a NCAA "B" cut time of 4:18.38, the sixth fastest time in the country this season.
UCI returns to action as the hosts of the UCI/Speedo Cup which begins Thursday (Nov. 16) and goes through Saturday (Nov. 18) at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach.
Her time of 23.04 is a UCI record and is the 29th fastest time in the country this year.

The Women's Studies Program at UCI continues a tradition begun at UC Santa Cruz in 2001 of bringing together faculty from across the UC system to engage with issues of gender, sexuality, and diaspora within the field of South Asian Studies.
This year, the sixth annual conference will seek to develop collegial and intellectual conversations in interdisciplinary approaches to gender and sexuality in South Asian Studies, issues that are still often relegated to the margins of the field despite their centrality and significance.

 The Universal Codec Interface (UCI) Project
Additionally, the UCI project has come to have a secondary goal of providing a cross-platform API for interfacing with codecs on a wide variety of platforms (both unix-like and non), to facilitate highly portable multimedia applications and libraries.
If you are considering writing an application or codec to the UCI specifications, you are strongly encouraged to join the UCI-Devel maillist, to keep abreast of changes to the specifications, as well as participate in the evolution of the system to make sure it fully meets your own needs.
UCI is intended to provide a generic API which codec authors can write to to make adoption and use of new/changed codecs automatic and instantaneous.

The General Clinical Research Center outpatient clinic at UCI opened Spring 2003 and consists of approximately 9,500 sq feet of space at the UCI main campus in Irvine, California.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the administrative organization of the GCRC nursing staff, training, patient care delivery, and interaction with the investigators to assure that research projects are carried out as approved by the IRB and the GCRC Advisory Committee.

The REALab (Realtime Experimental Audio Laboratory) is a newly installed laboratory in the UCI Music and Media Building for research and creative work in the use of computers in live musical performance, including realtime audio processing, sound spatialization, networked performance, interactivity, and alternative computer-mediated instruments.
The REALab is affiliated with the Gassmann Electronic Music Studio in the UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts, and is directed by Christopher Dobrian.
