Big Brother is a TV reality show shown on Channel 4 in which a number of contestants live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run.
The seventh main series is to begin on 18 May 2006 and Davina McCall will be the eviction night host, as she has in all series to date.
Big Brother is one of very few programmes on mainstream British terrestrial television that is still broadcast in the old 4:3 aspect ratio as opposed to the more common 16:9 widescreen format.
