The Pawnee assumed the towing of the Houston from the USS Boston.
USS Randolph was repaired and later rejoined the 5th Fleet, participated in the invasion of Okinawa and launched aircraft to assist in the massive fire bombing raids on the Japanese home islands until the Japanese Surrender.
The USS Skipjack was later delivered to the Mare Island Shipyard for study and then sunk as a target off the Southern California coast on August 11, 1948.

USS LST-325, a World War II amphibious vessel known as a “Landing Ship, Tank,” will pull into port Friday evening at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy as part of its East Coast Commemoration Tour.
USS LST-325 earned two battle stars during her World War II service.
The ship and crew’s mission is to increase public awareness of the role and history of the LST in World War II, Korea and Viet Nam, as well as to provide a memorial to those that sailed, fought and died on them.

The second USS Selfridge, DD 357, was laid down on 18 December 1933 by the New York Shipbuilding Corp., Camden, N.J., Iaunched on 18 April 1936; sponsored by Mrs.
Through the summer, she operated with cruisers of TF 36, later TF 37, and participated in exercises with TF's 38, 39 and 34.
In late September, as a unit of the 3d Fleet's amphibious force, she escorted an LST convoy to Vella Lavella, then commenced nighttime patrols up "the Slot" to intercept Japanese shipping.

It is their goal to help the LST 325 by raising necessary money and support to make her 2003 trip up the Mississippi and Ohio rivers a resounding success.
Dianne and Rocky Hill were honored over the 4th of July weekend to be able to conduct a tour of the LST 325 for one of their sons' family, consisting of Kevin and Barbara Hill and their children Evan and Heather.
He also maintained a website for LST 325 which included all of his situation reports, as well as many photographs showing the hard work done in Greece getting the ship seaworthy – that site is a must-see for anyone who hopes to understand what it took to bring this ship home.

JTF 1 was subdivided into eight task groups, each of which performed some specific function.
Headquarters for JTF 1 was on the USS Mount McKinley (AGC-7) (Joint Task Group Flagship).
