  Korean War Naval Chronology, May-August1952
At Wonsan USS O'Bannon (DDE 450), USS Lofberg (DD 759) and USS Radford (DDE 446) silenced enemy 75 mm guns firing on minesweepers in the channel south of Ho-do Pan-do and north of the islands of Mo-do, Sa-do and Song-do.
USS Bayonne (PF 21), while destroying 17 sampans in the vicinity of Hungnam, reported she was taken under fire by shore batteries located on the peninsula east of Hungnam.
USS Orleck (DD886) and USS Doyle (DMS34), while firing at targets in the city of Chuuronjang, south of Songjin, were caught during a turn and fired on at 6,000 yards range by 75 mm to 155 mm batteries.

During the last days of 1944, the USS BUSH was one of several destroyers screening a convoy of landing craft, tenders, and cargo vessels in the Philippine Islands.

They were picked up by USS Tattnall & landed at Cristobal 1942 - At 2200, the Darina, dispersed on 17 May from Convoy ON-93, was torpedoed and sunk by U-158 about 500 miles ESE of Bermuda.
- The high-speed transport USS Register is attacked by four kamikazes at 1925 hours; two are shot down but one attacking from ahead, began a low, gliding run in an attempt to crash the bridge.
Passing down the port side, the kamikaze was deflected overboard by the kingpost, which buckled and crashed over No. 3 40-mm gun mount, wounding 12 of the crew, including the gun captain, and causing considerable damage to the hull.

I am glad to see that someone remembers the USS Drum (SSN-677).I found out about the decommissioning fter the fact or I would have tried to attend.
I am one of the hundreds of civilians working at Mare Island when the USS Drum was under construction.

I have found that most photos out there of the older ships are in fact either US Navy origin or Bureau of Ships so the older ones are safe to make cards of.
I did CHILTON because my brother served aboard her after they decommissioned USS CAPRICORNUS LKA-57, which he served on with me. Also my CO and XO left LKA-57 to take command of LPA-38 just before our decom.
I moved on to USS PLYMOUTH ROCK LSD-29 and stayed with her until my separation.
