It occurred to me that I did not know much about Ulfang, nor did I really know how to give him a proper environment in which to kill things and flourish.
First, it will provide Ulfang and his prey a varied living area, dry and moist, allowing them to inhabit the aquarium in whatever environment they will.
In addition, Ulfang will be able to hide-and-seek with the crickets around the plant.
