It is the national stadium of Norway, and it holds 25,572 people.
The four stands of Ullevaal Stadion have sponsored names: Coca-Cola, Hafslund, VG and Postbanken.
The lower terrace of the Postbanken stand is by the Vålerenga supporters called "Vestbredden" (West Bank) and a part of the Coca-Cola stand is called Gaza.

as for modern stadiums, i think there was a pretty interesting one in spain that was recently built for the 2004 eurocup.
also, having lived in an apartment across the street from michigan stadium (one of the largest in america with a capacity of 100,000+) i have to admit that i found the ullevål stadium in oslo norway to be much more useful in that it was a true mixed use building.
I find the German stadiums for the WC2006 to be better efforts, but the German soccer league is ofcourse many times the league the Swiss one is so they have the economic means to care for and maintain much greater stadiums after the championship is over I suppose...

Not quite as big as the stadiums of the big clubs in the bigger leagues of Europe, but highly respectable by Norwegian standards.
After the match, the stadium was a strange sight, with sad AaFK fans, and celebrating Rosenborg fans.

Royal League organizers assume that the match will take place at the national arena, Ullevaal Stadium, where Vålerenga has its home matches but the stadium is closed for the winter, newspaper Dagsavisen reports.

We had hardly any trouble finding the Ullevaal Stadium and were able to park our car nearby.
His enthusiasm caught on though, the atmosphere in Ullevaal stadium got better and better, even though growing clowds were blocking the sun now, but this was actually very fortunate, because the heat was lessening now.
Unfortunately I don't speak any Norwegian, so I can't tell you what they were talking about in between songs, but it was apparent that they were very pleased with playing in the Ullevaal stadium and the great number of people that had come to see them.

There is an abundance of bars and pubs in the centre of Oslo.
NOTE, there are NO bars or pubs around or close to the stadium.
