Comical movie and stage actors are comedians -- they act in a comedy, which is a branch of drama, hence the "ian" suffix indicating their subordinate status as part of a team that tells a story.
And merging comic strip with this article is definetly not a problem since a lot of content is very similar and this article really isn't that long when if you exclude all the lists which are going to have to be removed if we're to get up to FA standards.
Second, comic strip, the way it is used - as you said - "in speech or running text" and in the article comic strip, describes a certain form comics can take, that of a serialized set of short episodes (sorry for using "short" again), usually printed in newspapers or magazines.

 The Ultra-Humanite
The Ultra-Humanite is a fiendish mad scientist, hopelessly paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair, whose great goal is the domination of the Earth.
Portrayed as nearly bald in two texts (Action Comics #13 and #19), and as completely bald in two others (#14 and #17), he is a mental giant, the head of a vast ring of evil enterprises, whose fiery eyes burn with terrible hatred and sinister intelligence.
His real name is never stated in the chronicles, but he has been known as the Ultra-Humanite - "Ultra" for short - ever since a scientific experiment resulted in his possessing the most agile and learned brain on Earth.

Ultra is a comic book mini-series written by the Luna brothers; Jonathan (art and plot) and Joshua (script).
The series was published by Image Comics and was released in eight issues in 2004 and 2005.
The story deals only peripherally with traditional superhero comics themes like fighting supervillains and concentrates mainly on how being a superhero affects Pearl's personal life.

The book was inspired by underground comics, whose peak period was 1967-1973, leaving this book completely without a market (until it became a "collectable").
Ultra Klutz Dreams was issued in 1999 and collects the stand-alone short stories that were created for anthology comics in 1991, and the 13 unpublished Parody Press covers.
This is the only single comic sized issue still in print, but serves as a nice sampler to the series.

Ultra has to be one of my all time favorite books ever.
Lunas, thank you for making me believe that originality in comics isn't dead, that comics can be both fun and moving, and that an entire series can be great without getting stale.
Like someone else said, I wouldn't be adverse to another Ultra series, but after hearing all the requests (and being one of the requestees) to make this an ongoing series...

Although it is called a comic shop and has lots of them, they seem to make most of their money by trading-card games and Warhammer figurines.
Most of my english comics I buy at "Ultra Comics" in Nueremberg, some 40 km away.
They carry a good selection of comics and the staff can point you to whatever you desire.

 Storage of Gum Comics
Since the comics and wrappers changed sizes over the years its good to get pocketed pages that are different sizes.
Used for large 1950s comics (these will have to be turn on there side) or use 2 pocket pages.
The dividers are nice when separating the comics by decade or year.
