 Primalworks: The Unreal World
After group therapy intensives, it is common to hear participants stating how tough it is to go back into the "real world." At these times people often think that the emotional honesty and intimacy that develops during an intensive is an unrealistic illusion.
Our dysfunctional society is what is "unreal." It is in these "civilized" social circumstances that we say one thing when we really think another, that we show a happy face when we really feel sad, that we pretend to be confident when we really feel confused.
Although the "unreal" social world is predominant and does exist, this doesn't mean it has to predominate our lives.

She acknowledges, for example, that her Real World exposure helped gain her a hearing with music-industry heavies such as the folks at Warner Chappell, who signed her to a publishing contract and financed a surprisingly solid extended-play CD cheekily entitled The Rebecca Blasband.
It was around this period that Blasband was chosen for The Real World, which was inspired by a bizarre series of documentaries featuring a single family, the Louds, that ran on the Public Broadcasting System during the Seventies.
Because Real World cast members are ostensibly just being themselves, they do not receive residuals routinely paid to actors whenever a TV show on which they appear is aired and/or replayed.

It's also meant to be a place to find stuff like how co-ordinates work, and how big the world itself is. So it needs a nice, easy intro, and then clear headings for the more complex stuff.

This in itself isn't a bad thing because it's a link to the afore mentioned page, but when you google search "Unreal World" I think you get this page first and, since that link is the first piece of text here, it simply says (in the little blurb under the title) "Official Unreal World Webpage".
Clearly this isn't the case and you guys all know that, but I think it's worth my saying that we are aware of this fact and apologise for any confusion resulting from it.

The world of Unreal - Atari Forums
This post is about, of course, Unreal, what I feel is one of the most underrated games of all time.
What I mean by thoughtful is that at first glance, there is a lot of mindless shooting and the plot is pretty simple, but by observing the world of Na Pali and seeing what's going on, an intriguing storyine begins to form, and the game begins to deepen.
When I played Unreal at first, one of the fun was to go around, explore my surrounding, gather information, understand the situation by reading every "book" and messages left behind, that makes for a deep feels and an amazing one.

Ostensibly, MTV's "The Real World" is cutting-edge, reality-based TV entertainment following the adventures, trials, and tribulations of several attractive, oh-so-hip, twentysomethings as they share a fabulous house in some trendy location.
The most interesting comparisons presented themselves in Real World IV in which we were given the opportunity to contrast several American kids with their European counterparts as they shared a fabulous flat in trendy London.
By comparison, the Euro-GenX'ers were thoughtful, philosophical, cultured, and generally unwilling to reveal their innermost thoughts in front of a rolling videocam: MTV execs must've been bitterly disappointed.

According to a conspiracy theory that has reportedly swept through the Islamic world, Israel plotted the September massacres to make Islam look barbaric, deflect attention from the intensifying Palestinian problem, and manipulate the U.S. into a war against all Muslims.
The major supporting "evidence" for this crackpot belief is a report originating in the Arab press about Jewish employees at the World Trade Center.
Such leaders made the Arab world look bad in some way; they led it to ignominious defeat, they massacred thousands of their own citizens, they behaved like buffoons, etc. Rather than confront the depressing reality of Arab political leadership, many persons chose to believe that such figures must be Zionist agents.

t bottom, this growing unreality of the "real world" — that is, the U.S.-led Western world of technological leadership and consumer comfort — owes just as much to the bona fide insanity of the neocons now running the show as it does to political face-saving.
When the world is being run by people — and above all, by a president — who believe in their own infallibility and divinely ordained mission, no event or development can escape being swept into the fl hole of a self-assured teleology.
Official denial of simple cause and effect is really unreal, and it benefits from the Blair-sponsored sense of shock and surprise that a complicit media has helped to spread.
