Scourge - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
While the status of the Scourge in the northern continent is currently unknown, the undead in Lordaeron -- under the command of Arthas' majordomo Kel'Thuzad -- continue to hold the Plaguelands from the enemies of his lord Arthas.
The Scourge is primarily concentrated in the Plaguelands.
In addition, the Scourge appears to be aiding the vrykul in expanding underneath the Howling Fjord; under the command of Prince Keleseth, the undead dig a tunnel leading from the catacombs of Utgarde Keep to Gjalerbron, as the vrykul despise doing such manual labor themselves.

There are two undead bases on the map, and they’ll attack your base every few minutes (including gargoyle attacks), so keep your forces near your base until you can put up a couple guard towers and train a few extra units.
Undead will ambush you there, and the ambush will include a pair of ghosts (which can possess your units) so send in Arthas and Bronzebeard alone until the ghosts are dead, and then send in everybody else.
The undead base will have lots of spirit towers and units, so try to use your units (like Tyrande) to draw the enemy units back to you, and then use the ballistae to destroy the enemy buildings.
