Under Siege - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Under Siege is a 1992 action film in the Die Hard mould.
But the only thing in their way is a ship's cook Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal), who in fact just happens to really be a Chief Petty Officer and former Navy SEAL with special-weapons, aikido and hand-to-hand combat training.
Although under arrest for insubordination, Ryback contrives to escape, and with the assistance of a young dancer (who came aboard with the terrorists but fell asleep), he assembles a special SEAL magnophone and contacts Naval Headquarters in Washington.

Well, for those who don't, you used to control a team of four military grade worms (hence the title), and the idea of the game was to kill the opposing team's worms using some of the stupidest and funniest weaponry seen in all of videogaming.
Worms Forts: Under Siege is very much the same game, but the added playtime comes from the ability to build (and destroy) your own battlements, castles, weapons factories and more.
Worms Forts: Under Siege does have its niggles, and the sound of your character's squeaks as you walk and jump along will soon grate on your nerves, as will the overly repetitive one-liners that they come out with.

Art Bulletin, The: Paris in Despair: Art and Everyday Life under Siege
It is striking, as she notes, that a catastrophic event, and one, moreover, that took place in the city that stood at the heart of the European art world, is generally assumed to have left little trace in the artistic record.
Privation was the primary experience, punctuated only rarely--and only late in the siege--by sporadic shelling of the city; the siege was suffered not as combat but as an endless stasis and as an ongoing disruption of the habits of daily life.
Shifting assumptions about gender and the role of women in public life, for example, are shown to have influenced the diverse allegories of Paris that represented the city as either a decadent or a robust woman (and very occasionally as a man) acquiescing to or resisting the advances of the Prussians.

The latest in the series is Worms Forts: Under Siege, and developer Team 17 has made an attempt to give the series a boost with some innovation in the form of historical references and, as the title suggests, fort building.
Despite the new concept, Worms Forts: Under Siege still manages to firmly retain the feel and essence of its predecessors, simply adding the idea of forts to the structure rather than rebuilding it completely.
