		UNDISPUTED tells the story of an undefeated world champion prize fighter (RHAMES) who is convicted of rape and sent to prison, where he must confront and ultimately fight the reigning prison boxing champion (SNIPES).
		Walter Hill's Undisputed is like a 1940s Warner Bros. B picture, and I mean that as a compliment.
		Undisputed is undeniable fun, thanks to its rugged rock pile of attitude, bravado and fisticuffs.

		On the other hand, it is to their credit that they haven’t chosen the easiest or most obvious path, the downside being of course that some of the songs here impress by their sheer energy and velocity, but not much else.
		Undisputed Attitude is of course essential stuff for any Slayer fan, but both as an introduction and a punk tribute it’s less recommended.
		It defines thrash, its velocity, brutality, controversy and attitude, while it’s also memorable as hell: from the ear-piercing shriek during the intro to that mid-tempo groove halfway the song and Lombardo’s mind-blowing performance throughout it, it’s a track on a par with all the divine metal classics out there.

		The combination of metal's technicality and hardcore punk's flat out aggressiveness and speed are the seeds that Slayer's breakneck sound originally grew out of, and Undisputed Attitude, while not perfect, is a fitting tribute to the bands that inspired Slayer to break from the traditional metal mold.
		Undisputed Attitude does not serve as a historical review of hardcore and punk of the '80s, and some might argue that the many important punk bands missing from this collection of songs diminish its value.
		However, this record intends to provide hindsight from the perspective of the band, not popular culture as a whole.

		Araya had a good point, although I wouldn't be fair unless I pointed out that the Undisputed Attitude disc came out in the midst of Green Day, The Offspring, and Rancid rising to a crest in national popularity.
		I always found it somewhat ironic that their stab at punk came in the middle of its reincarnation as radio-friendly bands.
		Undisputed Attitude can be credited with infusing an awareness into me that Green Day may not be the greatest punk rock band in the world.

		Personally, I think "Undisputed Attitude" is, more-or-less, 33 minutes of heart racing, adrenaline pumping aggression and rage.
		This album won't go down as one of the band's all time best or most memorable albums, but it is an underrated album that is quite enjoyable to listen to.
		Slayer's Undisputed Attitude is not a new album, it's over 10 years old (may be older than you).
