		Applications are invited for up to four fully funded PhD Studentships in Water Law within the Dundee UNESCO HELP Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science, part of the Graduate School of Management and Policy (College of Arts & Social Sciences).

		Mounir Bouchenaki, assistant director-general of Culture Sector of the UNESCO, attended the ¡°International Symposium on the Conservation of Koguryo Tombs¡± held from 25 to 28 October 2004 organized by the UNESCO Division of Cultural Heritage, in close collaboration with Cultural Properties Administration Office.
		In this symposium, UNESCO will evaluate the project that has been underway for the last year-and-a-half, and it seems there will be an opportunity to adopt a recommendation containing several suggestions for moving forward in a more desirable direction from there on.
		In terms of intangible heritage, UNESCO will encourage more countries to be added to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which was adopted at the 2003 General Conference, and also support that member states promote and protect their own intangible heritages.

	Prix UNESCO
		The biennial UNESCO Science Prize rewards a person or group of persons for an outstanding contribution they have made to the technological development of a developing Member State or region through the application of scientific and technological research (particularly in the fields of education, engineering and industrial development).
