 Eurovision Song Contest 1992
For those of you who don't know, the Eurovision Song Contest is an annual contest organised by the state run TV stations of European nations to find the best new popular song.
Now 46 years later, Eurovision continues to supply sport and news to the whole of Europe, and beyond, now by satellite, but the only programme still identified with Eurovision is the song contest.
The main contest's songs are judged by panels of sixteen in each country who give votes for their favourite songs.

Nicki French, United Kingdom’s Eurovision Song Contest 2000 participant, came to Cyprus this weekend as a guest star at the second semifinal of Cyprus’ “A song for Europe”, which was held on Sunday, February 12.
Performing live her Eurovision entry “Don’t play that song again” and a dancing version of “Total eclipse of the heart”, Nicki impressed the audience and the viewers with her energy, her sparkle and her undoubting dynamism.
I think the United Kingdom was very unpopular at that time, as it is now, and the song could have been quite usual for the contest.
