When she sang this song in 1965 for Luxembourg, there was no doubt she was going to win as her highly trendy stage appearance instantly made her the jury's darling.
When I heard this song for the first time, I really thought it was a catchy but People might not know the song very well which is why she is going to lose out.
Her appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest was a step along her path to superstardom, a status she still retains.

The voting patterns in the Eurovision Song Contest have attracted attention from various researchers, spawning a small cross-disciplinary field of what might be called 'eurovisiopsephology' incorporating insights from politics, sociology and computer science.
The pioneering study of the contest was carried out by Yair (1995) who used multidimensional social network analysis of the voting over the period 1975-1992, representing the period between the end of the Oil Crisis and the signing of the Treaty of Maastricht.

This means the 10 last-placed songs (ie those in 15th place onwards) this year are likely to be disqualified for 2003, unless they are one of the 'big four' (UK, France, Spain, Germany) who pay more so can't be disqualified.
On the left I list the countries whose television companies are entering songs for the 2002 contest, which will be held in the Saku Suurhall (right) on the outskirts of Tallinn, Estonia on May 25th, after last year's win in Copenhagen by "Everybody" sung by Dave Benton and Tanel Padar.

2004's selection process for the UK representative for the Eurovision Song Contest was a much higher profile event than in previous years.
Then a live contest was held on Sunday 2nd March at 4.35pm (hardly peak viewing time!), inviting viewers to vote for their favourite song.
Jemini were the winners of the 2003 contest, although it was hardly a convincing win - it is widely believed that Emily Reed had in fact received the most votes.
