The United States counted 3,885 candy stores in 1999.
WASHINGTON - House Republican leaders said Thursday they were surprised by how many Americans think the census long form intrudes on their privacy and promised to get rid of the multi-question document before the next census in 2010.
Accuracy is a moving target when you're trying to count every single person in every single nook and cranny in the entire United States.

The same data in English are included in the Census 2000 of the United States dataset.

BBC News NORTHERN IRELAND Trimble calls for border poll
The West Belfast Assembly member responded: "The reason why the SDLP negotiated to have a provision for a border poll in the Northern Ireland Act 1998 was to have a regular assessment of support for a united Ireland.
Speaking to the UUP meeting, Mr Trimble said a united Ireland would be disastrous and argued Northern Ireland currently offered "the right balance of Britishness and Irishness".
Many Sinn Fein politicians would be likely to oppose a poll despite the party's claims that last year's census figures, not yet published, show increasing numbers of Catholics in the province.

 Suburb
Although the United States Census Bureau officially calls the area the Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News Metropolitan Statistical Area, in keeping with its normal practice of putting the most populous city in a metropolitan area in the lead position of its name, the naming does not reflect the actual character of the area.
Chesapeake, which is not part of the area name but has already surpassed Newport News in population, is growing at a rate that will probably see it also surpass Norfolk in population well before the 2010 Census.
A socio-political movement called " New Urbanism " or " Smart Growth " is currently in vogue in the U.S.A., Canada and northern Europe, in response to the perceived threat of " urban sprawl ".
