 Universal Motown revamps labels - Boston.com
Universal Motown Records Group is being reorganized as two discrete, nongenre-specific labels, Universal Motown Records and Universal Republic Records, with Sylvia Rhone and Monte Lipman serving as their respective presidents.
Lipman was president of Universal Records, while Rhone was president of Motown Records and executive VP of Universal Records.
While Universal Motown and Universal Republic will share certain back-office finance and legal functions, the labels will otherwise be stand-alone operations and are expected to expand their staffs in the immediate future.

Virtually unknown for most of 2003 (even their label of record has no entry for them) this crew burst on the scene when Primo laced the song "It's All Real" and vinyl outlets like Sandbox Automatic quickly started moving units.
Verse two's rapper is obviously the "thug lead" of the group, with a Freddie Foxxx voice and a style he describes as "weed grammar, coke manners." The third and last verse features two rappers trading lines, one who sounds a bit like Ill Bill, the other sounding a bit like Canibus.
These guys are apparently the "Fast" and "D.G." of the group, judging by the last line of their shared spotlight.
