		UPB has now 12 schools, five of Mechanical Engineering, three of Electrical Engineering, and the Department of Engineering Sciences (founded in July 1990), with all the courses given in large circulation European languages (English, French and German).
		To be admitted as UPB's student, one has to be a secondary school graduate (12 years of studies and Baccalaureate diploma) and to pass an entrance examination.
		Currently, UPB has about 22,000 undergraduate students, out of which over 3500 in the first year of study, 630 postgraduate students pursuing advanced studies (sixth year of study), and over 700 postgraduate students enrolled in doctoral studies.
