Although there are no rules in Canada which prohibit foreign tribunals or litigants from taking evidence from a willing person, the conduct of a hearing presided over by a foreign official or pursuant to a federal or state investigation remains subject to the consent of the Government of Canada.

 UofC: University of Calgary celebrates its Dinos
The University of Calgary's annual Athletic Awards Banquet, "The Night of the Dino" honoring individual athletes and team that participated in intercollegiate athletics was held Tuesday, April 6, 2003 at the Red and White Club.
The final year Kinesiology student was a Canada West first team all-star, a CIS second team All-Canadian this past season leading the Dinos to first place in the CIS Rankings the entire season but one week.
She was named Canada West Rookie of the Year and was a second team CIS all-Canadian finishing 13th at the Nationals.

Strong also said it is the success of the university that necessitates the move, adding they have 85 students either enrolled or about to begin classes, well above the projected 65 for their second year.
The university spent $700,000 to renovate the bottom floor of the elementary school before it opened in 2005, and Strong argues it would have been too costly to renovate what little room there would have been left or develop on the 3.5 acres of adjacent space.

West Virginia University reached a settlement in a class-action lawsuit affecting up to 5,600 former and current employees who may have been exposed to asbestos, the school announced.
University employees sued in 2000 and sought medical monitoring for potential asbestos-related health problems as a result of working in university buildings containing asbestos insulation.
The university said in a statement that the agreement had been reached in the "spirit of compromise."

The Canada West Universities Athletic Association and the Western Hockey League are pleased to announce that defenceman JEFF ZORN of the University of Alberta Golden Bears has been named the Canada West Hockey - WHL Graduate of the Month for March, 2003.
The 5'11", 200 pound defenceman scored four goals and four assists to help the Golden Bears win their 42nd Canada West Hockey conference championship and advance to the CIS University Cup tournament for a record 28th time, where they went 2-1-0 and won the bronze medal.
The all-tournament selection was not the only honor won by ZORN as he was also named to the CIS All-Canadian Team for the second consecutive season and was a member of the Canada West Hockey first all-star team for the third consecutive season.
