The Club's three teams participated in the League for the first time in 1922, the same year as the University of the Witwatersrand was formed.
Unsurprisingly the Club was relegated to the Third Division for the 1963 season.
The club was already on the road to recovery after the rocky 95/96 season, and finished a comfortable 12th place in the league.

Sydney University’s Dean Mumm is set to make his Super 14 debut after being selected on the bench for the NSW Waratahs in the season opener against the Lions in Johannesburg tonight.
Sydney University Football Club will be represented by seven players in the 28-man NSW Waratahs squad to take on Canterbury Crusaders in a Super 14 trial at Aussie Stadium on Thursday.
