Hill House is the only long-term substance abuse treatment facility for adolescents in Illinois that anticipates that a client will be at the facility for a minimum of nine months, that provides education within the wider community, and that accepts clients with no resources or insurance.
Hill House also required a site that was located in a school district with the capability to provide teachers for those clients who cannot leave the facility to attend classes, and the Carbondale school district was one of very few in southern Illinois that would be able to do this.
Hill House had chosen not to wait until it actually received the permit due to the fact that its options on the proposed properties were expiring.

It was great to live with a family over here because I got to know more of the customs and practice Spanish much more than if I had lived in an apartment (I also got corrected a lot more as well).
I went on this study abroad with a company called CEA, who is affiliated with Seton Hill, and at each of the cities they have an office with people to help adjust and talk, not to mention plan activates.
In the past, someone might not have thought about taking college courses because there was no way to fit it into their busy schedule, but now getting a degree has become a little easier.
