The School of Dentistry requires all applicants, who are not native speakers of English to submit written evidence of either a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score or a Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score.
First priority for admission is given to Minnesota residents, second to residents of neighboring states and provinces with which the University of Minnesota has special admission arrangements, and third to other nonresidents who have acceptable reasons for attending the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
