University of Otago - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The University of Otago in Dunedin is New Zealand's oldest university.
Otago's residential Colleges and Halls are not as significant in the life of the University when compared with the Colleges and Halls of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
Currently, the university and the Dunedin College of Education (a specialist teacher training institution) are working toward a merger, with a bilateral working group declaring a merger "both desirable and feasible".
