In their hopelessness, frustration and desperation many unrepresented nations and peoples are gradually abandoning the path of nonviolence in order draw the attention of the international community.

Angola: One of Africa's 'lesser wars'
UNPO is an international organisation created by nations and peoples around the world who are not represented as such in the world's principal international organisations, such as the United Nations.
Founded in 1991, UNPO today consists of nearly 50 members and observer nations and peoples who represent over 100 million persons.
In view of the international community's great aversion to reviewing or even considering to review the processes and implementation of decolonisation, they are then left with the rather embarrassing option of having to condone an oppressive colonial-style occupation, not to mention a large-scale military operation involving a large number of civilian victims.
