		I have had this same upgrader problem just now, and I found this board by googling "rio cali upgrader" A couple of posts back, someone mentioned they took the circuit board apart and reconnected it and that fixed the problem.
		Upgrader mode is a good thing when you put it into it yourself, but when you don't do it yourself, it acts as the only Error Code Rio built into it's players.
		The upgrader bug had eaten its way thru the hardware and we were unable to start them up again.
