MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN [Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin], in the Bible, the mysterious riddle written by a hand on the wall at Belshazzar's feast.
These Aramaic words may be translated literally as, "It has been counted and counted, weighed and divided." Daniel interpreted this to mean that the king's deeds had been weighed and found deficient and that his kingdom would therefore be divided.

Therefore the apparent difference is because "scholars", way after it was written decided to point it so.

So I decided that the word upharsin, as such, cannot be used as means for the code-breaking but probably there is a key in the primary writing that could be a sign of a hidden word.

Upharsin, “smashed.” The kingdom of this world shall be smashed in pieces, cut asunder, destroyed in the day when the Lord Jesus Christ returns and God alone shall be glorified in that day.
It was a prefiguration of the antichristian kingdom that one day shall be established, the kingdom of man, built for man, in which man will be all glorious, the opposite of the kingdom of our God and of His Son Jesus Christ.

However, in this prophecy it is not necessary to render a monetary unit to the word 'upharsin'.) To determine the time periods being suggested it is only necessary to follow the instructions of the prophecy.

Daniel was then summoned to the royal palace; and the king promised him costly presents if he would decipher the inscription.
Daniel read it "Mene, mene, tekel, upharsin" and explained it to mean that God had "numbered" the kingdom of Belshazzar and brought it to an end; that the king had been weighed and found wanting; and that his kingdom was divided and given to the Medes and Persians (

When, therefore, he says Upharsin, and they shall divide, it signifies the instability of the Monarchy, since he wished to destroy or utterly abolish it.
But the Prophet alludes very appositely to the division made between the Medes and Persians; and thus his disgrace was increased by the Babylonians being compelled to serve many masters.

King Belshazzar was holding a feast; and calling for the Jewish altar goblets, filling these with his wines and beers, and saluting himself and his kingdom, lauding his majesty and longevity, and protesting slur and slight.
And, the indignation of the Jews was felt by God, DANIEL tells us, whose finger appeared to write these titular words in the plaster on the brick-stone walls inside the palatial feast hall: MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN (PERES).
The King was astonished at this apparition, and fitfully demanded to know what the words meant, blithely offering a reward of royal office of the highest rank (below himself, that is, third, for King Nebuchadnezzar was more a senile king-father-figure around Babylon at that time).
