		The Upper Hunter is a region and Local Government Area (LGA) of the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.
		The Upper Hunter Shire Council was formed in May, 2004 from Scone Shire and parts of Murrurundi and Merriwa shires.
		The towns of the Upper Hunter are Scone, Aberdeen, Murrurundi, and Merriwa.
