		The name "Mud Island Fort" was reused until the name "Fort Mifflin" became official in 1795, because Generals Washington and Mifflin had a falling out after the city fell to the British.
		Fort Mifflin was rebuilt again from 1794 - 98 using Pierre L'Enfants plans as a 29-gun bastioned work, and repaired in 1808.
		Fort Mifflin was used as a military prison during the Civil War.
