John completely vanishes without trace but could well be the John Springford who lived in Upton Cum Chalvey near Eton Berks and died in December 1849 at Slough.
They were William and his wife Hannah Rose and their children: John 1773, Martha 1774, Richard 1776, Elizabeth 1778, William 1780 and finally Hannah 1786.
Richard married Mary Fowle in 1806 and lived and died at Allington seemingly without offspring.

The manor of Upton cum Chalvey, which had belonged to Merton Abbey, was on lease to the Barkers, in the reign of James I; it is now the property of George Edwards esq.
UPTON, in the hundred of Stoke and deanery of Burnham, lies about three miles and a half to the north-west of Colnbrook, near Slough, which is a hamlet of this parish.
Its area in 1831 was 1943 acres, the greater part being rural in character and including a detached portion near Wexham practically all woodland, Upton Wood, Rowley Wood, Gallions Wood and others being found there.

Montem Mound, located in Chalvey, is an ancient monument, its date of origin is not known.

The parish of Upton-cum-Chalvey - which comprises Saint Mary's, Saint Laurence's in Upton and Saint Peter's in Chalvey - has begun an initiative to form links between Slough and the town of Pforzheim in Germany.
The connection was first made by parish Curate Andreas Loewe and the Rector of the Church of the Resurrection, Pforzheim, The Revd Wolfgang Stoll, who went to school together at Johann Peter Hebel Grammar School in Schwetzingen.
