  About IVCF
IVCF stands for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, and is (the official version) an inter-denominational mission mobilizing Christians within Canada's educational communities to declare Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
IVCF is also like a base camp at the foot of a mountain, where people come to be encouraged, equipped and prepared to make their ascent up the mountain.
IVCF has been active at the U of L for over 30 years and in the years 97/98, 99/00, 01/02 it won Club Of The Year and was in the 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2002 Maclean's Magazine Guide To Canadian Universities as one of the HOT clubs on campus.

Urbana is a major Christian missions convention sponsored by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship that is designed to give Christian college students a missionary perspective and a desire to impact their universities and the world for Christianity.
The first Urbana was held in 1946 in Toronto, and since then, it has generally been held every three years.

 IVCF - Urbana'90 Student Mission Conference
IVCF welcomed Charismatic and Pentecostal missions agencies as "full participants" at the Convention.
(IVCF also had a booth at the Indianapolis '90 Charismatic Congress in August of 1990.) There were also more women on the platform than ever before, and a band made up of Vineyard Fellowship musicians played for the attendees, which included members from 76 liberal, Catholic, charismatic, and so-called evangelical denominations.

These camps are held during the Spring and Easter breaks for IVCF chapters from colleges throughout Southern California.
This is a great opportunity to bring together new and returning students to get acquainted with each other and the IVCF staff on campus.
After school is out, IVCF chapters spend a week in May or June covering topics similar to the ones above, as well as offering seminars for graduating seniors and mission preparation studies.
