In Urdu script each letter is represented by about four different forms, depending upon their locations with in a word.
It is because Urdu in Nastaleeq script has fewer capability than the Urdu being typed, from Left to Right, in English or Roman script.
In Roman script each Urdu letter can be represented by only one symbol or so.

It was a great positive step, safeguarding Urdu scripts of 'Nastaleeq' and 'Naskh' and Urdu literature in their original forms and shapes.
The 'Nastaleeq' or 'Naskh' of Urdu surrendered to 'Devnagri' in India, got overthrown in Bangladesh, lost its notability and patronage in Pakistan and, (apparently) is breathing its last during the information age competition on the Internet.

The devanagari text that displays on these webpages is a phonetic transcription of the Urdu characters into devanagari script and does not follow Modern Standard Hindi spelling.
While all the characters for Urdu script, devanagari, and transliteration have been encoded into Unicode, only certain fonts have the glyphs used to represent these scripts.
Windows 2000 and XP users using Netscape 6+ or IE 6+ should be able to see the Urdu script.
